Since July 2075\nIts success is based upon clean\, quality second-hand goods be ing offered at fair and reasonable prices\, by friendly people volunteerin g for a worthwhile community cause. \nWhen is it on?\n\nThe Mart operates on the 1st Friday of each month at the Church hall. Outside area (larger i tems) available from 9.00 . Then shed (electrical\, dvd's\,  bric a brac and art) and  hall (clothing\, manchester\, toys\, jewellery\, household items\, books) from 10.00 .  This is strictly cash only sales.\n\nCloses at 12.00 noon\nWhat's available?\nThe range of goods offered for sale incl udes:\n\nMen’s\, women’s\, and children’s clothing\nBooks and magazi nes\nToys\nShoes \nManchester\nKitchenware\, glass\, fine china \nHardware &\; electrical\nPaintings &\; artwork\nSmall furniture \nPlants &a mp\; produce.\n\nDo you accept donations?\nYes we do! The Mart accepts qua lity goods 24 hours a day via a shed located adjacent to the Church Hall. If you have goods that are no longer required and they are in good working /clean order please leave then for sale. \nWe cannot accept large househol d items\, garden furniture and similar items.\nWhere does the money go?\nF unds raised contribute to the operation of the Parish of Magill and its va rious ministries\; in recent times much of the money raised has been used to fund the employment of Parish children and youth development ministries .\nThe  Mart came about\, however\, when the Parish Council undertook to investigate the financing of a new hall building complex. As a result\, th e monthly Mart was organised to provide a regular source of income for thi s project.\nThe first Mart was held on Friday 4th July 1975 in 2 small roo ms of the cottage next to the crumbling old Parish hall – it raised a pl easing $107 on its first day.\nFebruary 1977 was the day when the Mart was held in the new Church Hall on St Bernards Road it had helped to raise fi nances for. It has continued at that location without a break and has beco me a well established and popular part of the church and ministry to the l ocal community.\nCan I help?\nYes! Around 50 people enjoy friendship and f ellowship as they set up and operate the Mart. Anyone and everyone are wel come to come and join.
